Powers of Attorney

Powers of Attorney allow another person to act on your behalf for financial matters. Usually a couple will name each other first then a relative or trusted friend as an alternate. It’s wise to select someone who has the financial understanding to take over your bookkeeping and to pay your bills from your accounts. The law allows you to give a “limited” power of attorney for a selected activity such as to handle a real estate transaction or a “genera” power of attorney for various activities such as investments, insurance matters or gifting on your behalf. A Durable Power of Attorney is valid until a person dies or revokes a power previously given. Also home or hospital appointments can be arranged.

Gregg H Redmond has the experience to guide you through each and every step of this process.
